BASSEL KANO, DMD, FRCDC, ENDODONTIST

Dr. Bassel Kano attended Boston University where he received his dental degree and post-graduate endodontic training. He served as a post-doctoral clinical instructor in the Department of Endodontics at Boston University. He also completed a hospital-based General Practice Residency in Tuscon, Arizona.

He joined McGill University in 2007 as a clinical instructor and lecturer. In 2011, he was appointed assistant Professor and Director of the Division of Endodontics at McGill University and he continues to serve this role today.

Dr. Kano is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, He is also the president of the Montreal Dental Club, Canada’s oldest dental society, the president of the Federation of Dental Societies of the Greater Montreal and Vice-President of the Quebec Endodontists Association. The Ordre of Dentists of Quebec gave him the distinct status of a recognized Continuing Education provider in Quebec. He has lectured and broadcasted live microsurgical procedures to audiences nationally and internationally.

He is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Federation of Dental Specialists of Quebec, the Canadian Academy of Endodontics and the American Association of Endodontists. He has received prestigious awards including the the WW Wood award for excellence in dental education from the Association of Canadian Faculties of Dentistry.
